This year’s conference began on the afternoon of Saturday 7 September. With the three conference themes of investigating, invigorating and innovating, we widened our horizons with talks from outside speakers, looked at ways to improve and streamline our working practices, and learned about software to help us work smarter, not harder. In addition, formal and informal networking opportunities enabled indexers old and new to meet up, exchange ideas and learn from one another.
