General Experience
I have 20 years’ experience of indexing, specializing mainly in medical and biological sciences and maths. I have indexed many undergraduate and postgraduate texts in these areas, and have worked on numerous school textbooks, mainly, but not exclusively, in maths and scientific subjects.
Subjects
I am medically qualified (MB ChB, Sheffield University), and have over 20 years’ experience of indexing medical texts.
I have also worked on books on nursing, dentistry and veterinary science.
I spent several years working as a pathologist, rotating through all areas of the discipline, and specializing in histopathology.
I indexed a series of small patient-information books for Family Doctor Publications.
I have a strong scientific background, and have indexed books in most areas up to ‘A’ level standard.
I am more familiar with biological sciences, and have worked on many postgraduate texts, mainly in medical and medical-related sciences, but also areas in zoology and ecology.
I have a maths degree (BSc, OU), and have indexed many school maths textbooks over the past 20 years.
