The Society runs a distance-learning training course leading to an Accreditation qualification and Professional Membership of the Society. Members can than progress to Advanced Member status and eventually Fellowship. For highly experienced indexers there is an abbreviated assessment process based on the SI course.
Continuing Professional Development is available through a series of workshops and conference events.
Accreditation with the Society allows you to be listed in the Directory of Professional Indexers, where you can outline your areas of expertise, your experience and your availability for work.
